EASTBOURNE & THE SEVEN SISTERS
ABOUT EASTBOURNE
The Seven Sisters in Eastbourne are a series of white, chalk cliffs along the English Channel coast. The cliffs and the surrounding areas are perfect for hiking, with farms, forests and the beautiful seaside, perfect to watch the sun setting.
TIME & LOCATION
We will be meeting at 2.30pm on Sunday July 30th. The meeting point is Eastbourne Railway Station. Please aim to arrive early!
ACTIVITY LEVEL
This hike is moderate. The majority of the walk will be on flat ground but there will be some inclines within the forest as well as the Seven Sisters cliffs themselves. We will take breaks and play games along the way – feel free to comfortably pace yourself. The walk will be 3-4 hours including plenty of stops in between.
WHAT DO I NEED?
Make sure you have enough water, weather-appropriate sports clothing, comfortable walking shoes and sunscreen. Consider the type of bag you carry – bumbags and lightweight rucksacks are best. I’d advise eating a decent breakfast beforehand, or bringing some food/snacks along. There are several shops within and surrounding Eastbourne Station to purchase food.
GETTING THERE
